Thursday, March 31

The Greer Farmers’ Market begins its second season on April 7 at 4:00 p.m. The Market’s new location is in the “Depot” section of downtown Greer on Randall St. This year’s Market will feature over 20 local vendors, including farmers, craftsmen, and boutique foods. Each Market lasts until 7:00 p.m., and the opening Market will include children’s activities and the Drovers Old Time Medicine Show bluegrass band. The title sponsor for the Market’s second season is the Greer Commission of Public Works (Greer CPW).

“I was overwhelmed with the support I got the first year, but so far the second year is shaping up to be even better,” said Cristy Suarez Ray, the Market’s founder and executive director. “There is a real need for these local markets, and it is our goal to become another committed partner and asset in the Greer community,” Ray said.

“We’re excited to be this year’s title sponsor and believe this Market will continue to grow and be a community asset,” said Jeff Tuttle, Greer CPW’s General Manager. “Our organization is committed to both sustainability and healthy communities, and the Market aligns perfectly with our core values,” Tuttle said.

Anyone looking to participate in the Market should contact Cristy Suarez Ray at Cristyray@gmail.com. For more information about the Market, follow them at their Facebook page.
